Joe Jackson with my theme song...

Yeah... really?

  1. Where do you find this music? That opening line about pretty women out walking with gorillas reminded me of my teaching days. There was a set of twin boys at the jr. high where I taught. They were older - having failed a few grades - not the sharpest knives in the drawer. They were very Neanderthal-ish. I called them the Gorilla brothers or Changos. But the little jr. high girls oohed and aahed over them. I was horrified to think that those two gorillas would someday breed with those silly girls and have another generation of changos.

    1. The tune's from his album "Look Sharp," which I bought back in '79. I happened to hear it on RP yesterday morning and I thought it fit my mood (and life). Good story, Lou... I see you relate.

  2. That...was some seriously good music. Joe Jackson...what ever happened to him?! Always seems to me to be the kind of talent with staying power...

    1. He's still recording, Kris. There's this from The Wiki: The Duke (2012, Razor & Tie) No. 1 US Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
