Saturday: Young Dogs, Old Dogs, and Older Dogs

First, because we're dog people, this:

Dogs most certainly enjoy life.  We should all be that happy.

And then there's this...

See that kid on the left?  He's 47 today.*  That kid on the right... and family... will be on the premises in about an hour or so.  There's gonna be a whole helluva lot of celebrating today!

Happy Birthday, Buck!

* One feels a bit old when one has kids pushin' 50, not to mention the fact that BOTH elder boys could retire from the military if they had a mind to do so.  Aiiieee.

    1. Thanks, Lou. That pic is one of my favorite photos, ever. It's also one of the few that I have left from Former Happy Days, Part One.

  4. PS: Buck, give the advise to your two sons that the youngest CMSGT in the AF (at that time, a tall, lanky Texan from northeast Texas) once gave me: "Capt, you'd better get here at 0759 every morning (show time when not on flt sched) 'cause if you arrive at 0801 you'll be two minutes behind the SOBs for the rest of the day!" LOL!

    1. That's good advice, Virgil. I was always an early guy, myself. Both of the boys are, too.

    1. Great grandchild number five is a "bun in the oven" at this very moment. That does tend to make a body feel old, indeed.
