A Nice Neighborhood

The view from my bedroom window at the SN1 house:

Hey!  Haven't we seen that lil green car somewhere before?

Here's the smoking lounge, a nice screened-in porch in the grand old southern tradition:

More cheesy mePhone pics*

You can't make it out in the picture, but there's this big-ass fountain in the middle o' the pond which makes VERY pleasing noises while one's enjoying a cigar on the porch.

I might stay here for a while.

Update, a lil bit later.  I forgot the asterisk, which was supposed to say I brought the dSLR to take GOOD pics but I'm just lazy.  The mePhone is close enough for blog work.

  1. The first thing I saw was the GH, and I thought, "Wait a minute..." Then I saw the Tart.

    Beautiful house and views!

    1. I've not mentioned this before but Grandson Sean inherited TGH. So there's that.

  2. You should linger here on the Atlantic Seaboard at least until October. Then you could motor on up to Mystic for the planned Lexican gathering.

    Just sayin'...

(P.S. That place is drop dead gorgeous!)

    1. Kris e-mailed me about the Lexicans get-together. I prolly COULD stay until October... and that wouldn't hurt ME at all, given my surroundings... but I'd risk alienating SN1 and SN2. It's that old "fish and house guests begin to smell after three days" thing. ;-)

  5. Yup, yup, yup... way too much greenery.
Must need a lot of cuttin' and trimmin' and that sounds like work.

    1. It IS work. I watched a bit of that work this mornin', as a matter o' fact, from the comfort o' the porch, coffee in hand. I LOVE that kinda work -- I could watch it for HOURS!

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
