Heh

Occasional Reader and Frequent Correspondent Lin sends the following along:

This doesn't apply to YrHmblScrb, as one o' P-Ville's many charms is the absence o' a recycling scam.  That said, I hate to imagine what the neighbors think o' me when they throw their trash in the dumpster.  OTOH, they pretty much know... I usually have a beer in hand when I'm on the verandah.

I'm NOT a drunk.  I don't drink a lot, I just drink OFTEN.

  1. There's a saying...

What others think of us is none of out business

    That applies here.

Unless they're signing our paycheck, writing our performance evaluation, or sleeping beside us every night. ;-)

  2. Heh. You might enjoy the sounds of 26 bottles (beer) and twelve 1.5 liter wine jugs as they clink/crash into the bin of the recycling truck. I. Love. That. Sound!

    1. In our neighborhood it's the same truck making a second trip.
      They sound pretty much alike.

    2. @ Darryl: Mebbe, but I think not. I enjoy the sound of the beer bottles scattering in the dumpster, as opposed to me HAVING to put them in a lil blue bin. I speak, of course, of the Beserkeley Recycling Police... about which I've posted in the past.

    3. @Skip: And the recyclables prolly go to the exact same place, too.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
