... had some serious consequences in Lubbock:

There wasn't much damage in Clovis or P-Ville — there were power outages in Clovis; here in Portales a church lost part of its roof and highway crews working on our main street improvement project took the day off due to the wind. I still stayed home, though.
Today? Clear, (relatively) calm, and COLD... 34 degrees as I type.

Glad you weren't blown away. Is this part of the Draco winter storm they're talking about on the weather channel?
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the WX Channel lately, Dan... but I would guess it was.
DeleteDang! That is some serious weather!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you and The Tart weathered the storm.
The Tart was quite a mess this morning after the wind died down. But we did survive.
DeleteJust cold here...
ReplyDelete...and really cold at home.
It's pretty chilly here too, Skip.
DeleteI froze my arse off this am. Wind knocked down trees, knocked out power lines, and made my otherwise perfect job just miserable today.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas.
Uncle Skip is playing off of a country song, methinks.
Being a country music retard, you've probably NEVER heard it.
Enjoy!
I think Skip was playing it straight about the temp at home, coz he's been down in Sacramento for almost a week now.
DeleteAbout that vid: nice try, Andy. No cigar. That kinda music is exactly why I'm a C&W retard. ;-)
Heh! Well, ya' know...as it says in The Bible, "To each they own!"
DeleteYikes! Glad all is well!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I didn't go out.
