Good Ol' Days

"There's a lil bit o' witch in ALL us girls" sez Gretel.  True, dat.  More Fractured Fairy Tales here.

  1. Fractured Fairy Tales and the entire panoply of Rocky & Bullwinkle features/characters is perhaps my MOST favorite TV political satire cartoon show EVER--tied only by the subtle adult politics of the Loony Tunes franchise of Bugs, Sylvester, et al. (And throw in the cultural & geo-politics of the entire Donald/Scrooge McDuck comic book series as well)

    1. Rocky & Bullwinkle set the standard for 'toons. My only gripe is that there weren't enough of 'em.

    1. You like tree-rats? I like Rocky, but other than that... the little bastards used to play hell with my garden.

  4. When I was younger, I did watch Rocky a& Bullwinkle, but they were not my favorite. Bugs Bunny was more to my liking.

    1. Bugs is good, but not as "adult" as Rocky & Friends. I loved me some Boris Badenov.

  5. Great stuff! Did you ever watch "Fractured Flickers"? It was the same type of humor (written by Jay Ward, so it had to be) but done by dubbing old silent movies with new dialogue, inserting newsreel footage, and basically making an entirely new and ridiculous film. I loved the show as a kid and I just this week bought the entire series on DVD. I haven't watched it yet, and I'm hoping it lives up to my childhood memories of great gales of laughter.

    1. Never saw those, Jim. I might have been overseas when they ran.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
