Olympics and Shirts

Why, I believe we were talking about nekkid Olympians just yesterday... over here.

And yeah, Susie... where IS yer shirt made?  My 501s are made somewhere near Cairo, an offshoring decision I'm thinkin' the Levi Strauss guys MIGHT be regretting about now.  And no, I'm not taking 'em off, or otherwise givin' 'em up.

    1. Chinese emperors had some real nice clothes. Or so I've heard.

  2. I tire of all this "and where was YOUR shirt made" business. It's irrelevant to the Olympic uniform issue. Completely.

    2. I've been hearing from other people in other places where this discussion is happening. It's the standard "gotcha" that's been going around on this topic. "Oh yeah, well, where was that computer made that you are typing your outrage on?" That sort of thing.

They're almost giddy whenever they talk about those team uniforms being from China

When I saw the outfits I thought, "I wouldn't be caught dead in that"

Not to make too much of this, BUT... I (still) haven't turned my teevee on since Game Five of the SCF. So I'm not seein' stuff like that.

  4. I don't think women got to compete back in the days when athletes competed nekkid. They just went to watch.

  5. You still wear 501's? I used to back in the way-back. Now it's strictly Wranglers, especially because Wranglers are like 15 bucks. Feel just as good as 501's did, too.

    1. I've worn nothing BUT 501s since the early '70s. Cue up Tevye.
