Me Too

Yeah, an hour less of GOP primary BS is a GOOD thing and I also like the extended verandah time.  But that's it.  It's not as bad as it used to be, though... I REALLY hated this Spring-Forward thang when I was gainfully employed.

Me too, Buck. It was tough to adjust the old body clock when I was working. The "Fall-Back" was never a problem though. I always felt like I got an extra gift hour there for a week or so.

    1. The thang I hated MOST was the commute during the first week after the time change. The usual clue-impaired idiots on the road were even MORE clue-free, if that's possible. You really had to pay attention. And you're right... I always enjoyed the fall-back thang.

  2. Buck, & Dan...I LOVE Daylight Savings Time. I don't mind the one or two days of internal clock reset. And, I don't mind going to work in the dark.

I just HATE coming home in it. I truly relish all them sunshine hours to get my junk did outside.

As to the "hour shaved off the Republican Primaries"...well, ME, NEITHER. I'm lovin' it. I'm odd that way.

    And, other ways, too.

    1. The other thang I don't like: having to reset all the gotdamned clocks. I don't think I'll bother with it this year... the computers and the phone adjust themselves and the car is still on Daylight time. So there's that. GOML.

  3. I love Daylight Savings Time, too. I'm not a morning person, so give me extra light in the evening.
I do hate resetting the clocks, which us working stiffs still need to do...

    1. I like DST, don't get me wrong. It's just the adjustment that bugs me.

  4. We could save another 24 hours of primary BS if the elections weren't during leap year.

  5. I understand the original intent of DST, but what I never understood was why they just didn't split the difference and shift time 1/2 hour and be done with it.

I mean really, would that be so hard to do?

    1. I like the way ya think, OG. There are a couple time zones in the world where the clock is only shifted by a half-hour.

  6. When I woke up Sunday morning and was aghast at how late I had slept (too much visiting with old friends the night before)I was glad for DST and I had forgotten to set the clocks the night before. I'm ready for some sunshine.

    1. I'm MORE than ready for the sun (Lil Darlin'). And warm nights on the verandah.

  7. It really is about time we just dropped the whole changing the clocks thing. We're not an agrarian society any more, and there are numerous ways to adjust mood and work schedule to fit more or less daylight. Oh, well. It doesn't affect me as much as some others, so I suppose I should be thankful for that.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
