An Unusual Occurrence

Rain!  And rain that fell straight down... vertically, rather than at our normal wind-driven, slashing 45 to 60 degree angle... which allowed me to sit outside under the awning and enjoy it.  Like this:

Oh My! but we did enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of this rain... for as long as it lasted, anyhoo, which was only about a half hour to 45 minutes.  Still, SOME rain is better than NO rain.  And don't I have pretty feet (for a guy... let's not get all hairdresser/interior decorator-like, not that there's anything wrong with that)

Take THAT, L-Andy.

  1. Rain! almost always it's good news here on the prairies even this year when we've had regularly enough, and some hail these past 2 days.

Are you and Andy going to have a feet face off?

  2. Rain is good. We had a nice rain this morning too.

It appears to me that you've thrown down the gauntlet to Andy. The guitar war came earlier and now this is the feet war. I'm staying out of this one. Way out.

Andy is a mere pretender to the throne, marc. Besides that, my feet are all natural in their glory, unlike Andy's... which prolly get polished twice a day with an imported loofah. I mean... a guy who sleeps in a pink bedroom? Gotta be.

No gauntlet, Dan. Just stating (and showing) the obvious.

  4. For as dry as it has been, your grass is still lookin' pretty spiffy.

  5. Nice feet! Not as lovely as mine, but not bad for an old guy.

Dude...your grass is gorgeous! Buck, it is so dry here that ours is just brown. Really. I saw that photo and envy set in hard and strong. And, it ain't for the foots pitcher, neither.

Man, I'm just kinda stunned at how green NM is, and how brown LA is right now. That's just not right.

Seriously. Even our weeds have died.

Well, good on y'all! If you've had any rain in the last long while you're ahead of us. I can't remember it like this...probably has been as bad, but I just can't remember it.

    Enjoy it for me, pal.

Ah, but it should be... becoz Pretty Feet Я Us.

As for the grass... Beautiful La Hacienda Trailer Park has its own well and pump system which is dedicated to watering. And I am conscientious about doin' so, ergo my weeds are VERY green. The rest of P-Ville, which is to say those on city water, are laboring under STRICT water regulations. BLHTP is an oasis o' green in an otherwise parched and brown corner of the world.

  7. That 'splains it then. Yeah, the people that water here are keeping somewhat green lawns. Still, the watered lawns are a different shade of green than normal.

Imma quit bitchin' about the dry. It just means I only mow about every 3 weeks instead of every 5 days like normal. And, I can mow at daybreak before it gets hot, because there is zero moisture in the ground. It's the farmers I feel for. It's bad.

    WV: patio

    Can't even enjoy that!

  8. You and Andy both have nice feet. We may have to do a side-by-side view to really see whose are the prettiest. Now my toenails are polished a delightful red - turns my man on. I may enter my feet too. In fact, I think took a photo while in NM that I may post.

  9. Feet - are funny. I've always thought so. That said, Buck you do have good lookin' feet.

I love my man but his feet - they are not pretty. Mine, why of course they are lovely. Regular pedicures keep them that way for sure.

    :-)

No, Lou... this is man-feet only. But post yer pic!!

Kris: Thank ya, Ma'am. No pedicures... OR loofahs... here! ;-)

  11. Y'all know...well, maybe you don't...that a couple of years ago, bloggers in my circle started posting pitchers of their feet in order to one-up each other.

We even got some chicks involved. Post it Lou, and I'll devote an entire quiz to it. Like a "Whose foots iz these?" deal.

  12. I didn't know that... those posts musta been before my time. But I like the quiz ideer.

  13. Yep! It was before your time...

It could be fun. We'll give 'er a rip. I shall contact some others and see what can we get did.

  14. There's something real nice about absorbing the sights and sounds and smells brought about by a gentler rain. I enjoy taking a seat on the veranda (back porch, to those with no romance) and enjoying a smoke while doing same.

  15. Jim: Yup! It IS the most pleasing of activities, no?

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
