I like Sarah Palin - and I sincerely hope she does not throw her hat into the ring. She is far too divisive and has much too much to overcome to be a viable candidate.
Which is what conservatives need. I'm starting to get more curious about Huntsman - anyone but Palin.
I agree with ya about La Palin, Kris, but ya knew that. I'm still in waiting mode as far as the rest of the field is concerned... no one of the current declared candidates strikes me as "real."
I would prefer to see Palin either stay out all together, or get a cabinet spot. I like Palin, but really can't stand hearing her talk for very long. The voice is her downfall.
I think Christie would be a very attractive possibility, but I'm not sure many would see him as Presidential. Then again, Obama sure isn't, so there is that. Of course he says he is not in, and seems as sincere about that as any politician can be sincere.
I could vote for Cain. I like what I've seen so far with him.
The others who are in? It feels like McLame getting a do over or sum such.
One thing with Cain running, the left would lose their biggest advantage, the racist card. Imagine the time they would have dealing with that?
The cartoon is a good one. I didn't realize before now, Palin is the antidote to the (only nebulously defined, or not defined at all) problems that plagued Fred "not enough fire in the belly" Thompson.
I have the impression, although I cannot prove it, that the persons who disapproved of him are for the most part the same people who disapprove of her. If I must produce examples, there's only one that immediately comes to mind...
But perhaps the healing can begin if more attention is given to what exactly makes a good candidate...and less attention is given to stating over & over again ad nauseum, "doesn't she give us all heartburn" and angst over voice inflections, leaving the 'g' of the ends of words, etc.

Yup. I'll admit that leavin' the "G" off the end o' words is a REAL biggie. Ain't that America...
/snark

Heh. Like mebbe the Dept of Education, Interior, HHS, VA, HUD, or mebbe EPA Administrator... the list is (relatively) endless. ;-)

She will be far more powerful behind the scenes.
