Here's something you'll prolly never hear again, at least from these parts... GO Dallas! Detroit delivers payback of the sweetest kind for that embarrassment the other night at The Joe: Detroit 4, Chicago 3. It looks like the 'Hawks are off to the golf course IF Dallas wins their game against the Wild. Not to be redundant or anything:
Update, later that same day: Ah, well. Chicago sneaks in the back door, thanks to a 5-3 Minnesota win over the hapless Stars. Note to the Blackhawks: 1-800-Flowers. That's the least you should do for the Wild.
No back door slippin' in by the Preds this year. Even they got into the playoffs with a win. They played pretty well the last few weeks, but how far they'll go is another question. Congrats to your Wings. Think they'll get it all together again?
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to the Preds, too! Your Preds are hot right now, Dan. The general consensus amongst Wings fans was we did NOT want to play the Preds in the first round... mainly because Rinne seems to have the Wings' number. Your series with the Ducks will be MOST interesting!
ReplyDeleteAs for the Wings getting it together... they looked GREAT yesterday. But that's the issue: inconsistency. You never know which team will show up from night to night. The playoffs tend to focus the team, though. We shall see.
