Today's Happy Hour Soundtrack

Flamenco guitar by Armik... kinda sorta.  I say "kinda-sorta" coz it ain't flamenco in the classic sense.  But it's damned fine listening.

There's no particular reason for this selection, other than it seems to fit the day.  Well that and the visuals in this video are excellent.  I regret never having had the opportunity to pursue an Andalusian lady... or, more specifically, a woman who could dance like this.  Nothing says "passion" like the flamenco.  Nothing.

  1. Buck, We spent a week out your way (in Santa Fe) back in the summer of 2001. While there we saw a flamenco performance at a local night spot. The show was long, almost like a drama as it unfolded. We were mesmerized. The whole thing was truly amazing and we'll never forget it. Like you say, flamenco is "passion" in the flesh.

  2. Wait -- a woman that you DIDN'T pursue? I, myself, am shocked! Oh, wait, you said you hadn't had the chance yet. Hey, tomorrow is always another day. ;)

    (BTW, this sounds wonderful.)

  3. Dan: I hear ya. I've been pleased to witness several such performances over the years and I'm always amazed. And enchanted.

Kath: I had about 20 years off, don't forget. ;-)

And now it's too late... (sigh)

  4. Too late?? What the -- are you dead?
Have you given up the ship, so to speak?
Folded up the tent and thrown dust in the firepit?

For shame, young man!! For shame, I say.

Yup. Taken myself out o' the game. I've come to the conclusion we all get ONE soul-mate in this life, and I had mine. Ten-plus years of auditioning candidates for the part of "Significant Other" have pretty much confirmed the fact. It just ain't worth the trouble any longer.... you can only kiss so many frogs, yanno?
