  3. Thank you, thanks to SN2, thanks to SN1 -- and thanks to your family, too. They had a lot to do to support you three!! :)

(Sometimes I just think SN2 needs to be mentioned first, even if he is in the Navy.) ;)

  4. Thank you all for your kind comments. That said, I thought long and hard about how to respond to this and I'll try to be as gentle as possible. I just want to chide you a teeny bit, in that today is the day we honor our war dead, not our living veterans. We... the living, the fortunate ones who made it back alive and intact... have our own "special day" in November. And while there's prolly never an inappropriate time to say thank you it does tend to raise an eyebrow among living vets. I speak only for myself here, but I'm pretty sure both SN1 and SN2 would agree. But once again: thank you for your kind words. It's not my intent to be ungrateful.

  5. Good on the Air Force for remembering all of those connected to the services this last Monday in May. Especially to those who gave their all.

  6. I understand what you're saying, Buck, but my feeling is we don't say thank you ENOUGH, so any day that honors the military, I'm going to say thank you for your service -- and I'm going to say it so you know it, not waiting until afterwards at your memorial.

    K.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
