... began like this:
That selection was a fall-out from our post on The Internet in Book Form, specifically the Molly Bloom reference we cited. And then we followed up by defining a Kate Bush station on Pandora. Yes. Ooh...yes. We loves us some Kate, we do. The cool thing about Pandora's genre stations is the other chirps we get to hear. Not to mention Peter Gabriel...
Yep... it's all good. Most definitely.
But, that said... the blog is All About Me. Our beer today is 2 Below and our cigar... probably the first of two... is an Acid Kuba Kuba. We find our cigar consumption going up of late for some strange reason. Prolly coz our humidor is FAT with product. We like that, Gentle Reader... oh yes, we DO.
Update, 1545 hrs: Oh, Hell. Let's do one more...
"Oh to be in love... and never get out again..."
This is probably the classic "you hadda be there" moment and I'm thinking specifically England in 1980, cruising down the A40 from High Wycombe into London for one of many memorable nights on the town. It's rarely been better than that in the time since, Gentle Reader. Our salad days... and Kate brings 'em home.
Ah - Kate Bush. Forgot about her...I always liked her and must correct the error that exists in my iTunes list...sadly lacking in Kate Bush right now.
ReplyDeleteBut not for long.
Tori Amos is also a fave. And Peter Gabriel? Solsbury HIll? Me loves him. Oh man about the only Gabriel song that could be better is In Your Eyes.
I hear ALL that, Kris. In spades!
ReplyDeleteA-40. Hoover Factory.
ReplyDeleteThere is a memory. It's also a great Elvis Costello song.
All yeh. I certainly remember taking the A40 numerous times. I vividly recall detours to Beaconsfield and the Royal Standard Pub for a pint or two of their Barley Wine....good stuff....
ReplyDeleteDarryl: Right you are. The old Hoover factory is one of my favorite buildings, evah. Srsly.
ReplyDeleteJesse: Yup! I could use a night out at the RSoE right about now!!
Thanks for the linkage! I love New Belgium beer. Cheers !

I'm not sure if your into non-english stuff, but I get a kick out of Mireille Mathieu stuff from around 66. Later it was kind of mushy Humperdink stuff.
