That is kind of funny. A friend recently remarked that he had seen Jesse in town having lunch surrounded by a bunch of nerdy guys. Yep, those are the engineers at Halliburton. There is nothing wrong with nerd humor.
ReplyDeleteThat IS funny. Similar happens in all specialized fields, I suppose. Just yesterday, a co-worker and I were laughing while listening to a recorded voice and the thought struck me that nobody outside of sound production people would have any idea why we found it so funny.

While I work in the data center world, I'm an infrastructure guy, not a techie. Therefore this stuff tends to escape me.

Andy2: Like BR, I was more of an infrastructure/ops guy in the IT world but I did have occasion to work with the Pointy-Headed dudes occasionally. And you're right: they can be a lil bit strange.
