    You have to admit, besides the Red-Wings Red and the uniforms of my beloved home-state long-suffering Chicago Blackhawks, the St. Louis Blues have a dynamite name & good-lookin' uniform combo workin' to join the other two to fill out the top three. Es Verdad?

    Moogie and Cat: Well, we did enjoy ourselves. Except for the final score. THAT sucked.

    Virgil: Agreed on the St Louis unis. I'm pretty Old School in this space, thinking the Original Six own the best sweaters in the league with the possible exception of the Rangers rather pedestrian and uninspired jersey.

    But... speaking of St Louis and the Hawks... not to mention the BJs and the Preds... the Central Div ain't gonna be Deetroit's playground this season, unlike the last eight or nine. The Central could turn out to be the toughest division in the NHL this year, all things considered. Dang... I'm really excited!!

    Buck, you and my daughter have that one peculiar thing in common. Red Wings Fans. She will call me and let me have it with both barrels when they lose. She does understand that sympathy will be long in coming as Daddy is a fan of the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge.
    At least she is a fan of an original six team.
    So few of us out here anymore in the wide open spaces that are devotees of the game.

    Thanks for the kind comment, Glenn. Your daughter obviously has good taste and in that same vein... it's pretty hard times for yourself, innit? I've been following (in an offhand sorta way) the circus that is the Habs for the past year, and think it's a sad thing to happen during their centenary. Maybe this year will be better for ya! :D
