We were gonna take today off (in the blogging sense) since we (a) got an incredibly late start today due to an incredibly sleepless night and (b) just coz everyone needs a day off every so often. But I just can't resist this... click for larger:
Of course, this all has to do with Madame Pelosi's comment about the insurance industry "astroturfing" all the health care town-halls and the like where real people happen to turn up with real questions. Astroturfing, my ass.
But then again... as many folks have noted in many other spaces on these here intertubes... it's a standard liberal ploy to accuse your opposition of doing just what you yourself are doing. Or have done... see the "my ass" link above. And thanks to commenter at Lex's place (August 9th, 2009 at 12:32 pm) for the image link.

Holy. Cow.
ReplyDeleteI'm heading to my Senator's Town Hall tomorrow. I plan to do my very best to keep my mouth shut and just be a fly on the wall. (I'm usually not very good at just keeping my mouth shut, though, so if you see a newsreel of Moogie being hauled to the pokey, please send bail money!) He's a Repub, so it shoud be interesting to watch and compare.
Where's the scotch?!?!?
How about that, in Princess Pelosi's back yard too!!
ReplyDeleteI did go to her web page and then over to where she describes her position on Health Care and I copied that URL down and emailed it to the White House's tip line with a complaint that the person running that web site was saying thing contrary to what the President was saying!! I also did the same with the AARP web page, they have a Myth versus Facts on Health Care page. I sent that to the flag address too saying that some of the Myths listed were things the PresBO was saying was in the Bill!!!
I still have not heard from the White House when to take my Chevy Malibu in for the Oil Change, I called them way back in May too! I guess they are a little busy!!

Amazing. When folks get really mad and want their voices heard, all of a sudden it's not just folks getting really mad and wanting their voices heard.
ReplyDeleteA protest by the left is a protest. A protest by the right is a plot orchestrated by the fat cats in the military/industrial complex, having nothing whatsoever to do with actual people.
Feh.
Moogie sez: if you see a newsreel of Moogie being hauled to the pokey, please send bail money!) He's a Repub, so it shoud be interesting to watch and compare.

Last first: in the cabinet, but it's sure getting one helluva work out, of late. I'm thinking a couple o' drams might make the town hall go down easier, no?
If all else fails on the requirement for bail money... gimmee a call. I got your back. :D
Jimmy: You crack me up, re: the e-mail thing. I'd keep an eye peeled for those black helicopters, were I you.
Jim: Yup. And ain't that just amazing?
Well Buck, they got a lot to look at over here. I not only harass them regularly on their phone lines (toll free and the pay one too) but I write them a lot as well, same with my Congress Woman and both numb-nutted Senators (although Spectors may have fallen off by now he is so frigging old). I also went out and bought a nice Hand Gun, joined the NRA, and got myself a Concealed Carry permit (but the Gun I bought is too big to conceal, go figure) but I have the paper. So, social warfare is what they want and I am here to give it to them!!! And Yes, I do Look up every time I hear rotor blades churning the air.

I think the Dems are going to be in for a rather rude awakening in the next few election cycles. They continue to talk down to us and treat us like helpless, stupid children that are unable to care for ourselves.
ReplyDeleteI'm just amazed at how quickly they have sunk to the bottom. Even the Repubs took a few years to lose sight of their "Contract with America".
