It ain't much in the way of snow (by comparison), but we'll take it. If only for the moisture what's in it, ya know.
Do ya think I should cancel Happy Hour? Or tough it out? Heh...

Tough it out. Barefoot.
ReplyDeleteBarefoot, and in shorts. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteGot a nice roarin' fire going over here. Haven't had many of those this year.
Oh...boy... maybe too much association with people who live in snow country...
ReplyDeleteBut, YES, tough it out! Put the awning out (if it's not windy) - do they have fire rings there? - a fire would be nice - bundle up and enjoy, the crisp, cold air. It's gonna be hot next week, yes?
Poor cherry tree, though. Hey, what's the temp there, it is approaching 30 here and I think we might make it above freezing today!
All y'all are VERY funny! ;-) Happy Hour will MOST definitely be indoors today...
ReplyDeleteJenny: I envy you the fire!
Ann: 32 degrees, as we type. The ground is warm enough that the snow has only stuck in the grass and on the cars... the roads are wet and snow-free. Still and even: I AIN'T going anywhere!
We're supposed to ge more snow this weekend - the endless winter continues...
ReplyDeletePoor Cherry tree!
What in the hell happened! Oh my God, you have snow.
ReplyDeleteI'm gone for two days and you end up covered in white sh*t. You have my condolences.
I recommend poring yourself two fingers of something heat producing (bourbon?) and wrapping up in a blanket.
I guess the Bluebird of happiness has been replaced by the chicken of despair... (That was an old Far Side Quote)
ReplyDeleteSorry to see Spring go to hell in a loosely woven handbasket. Without a blanket.
We will hoist a few in our warmth and think of those suffering in the Southwest and North. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

ReplyDeleteWe've had it a LOT better than you have, Cynthia. Except for the drought... and today's precip goes a lil ways toward fixing that.
Daphne sez: I recommend poring yourself two fingers of something heat producing (bourbon?) and wrapping up in a blanket.
Single malt on days like today! It ain't as bad as it looks, tho. I'm SO grateful for the precip!

Spring will be back in full force on Sunday... if the predictions (72 degrees and sun) hold true. Those folks who live in northern climes maintain you can't appreciate good WX without some bad to serve as contrast. I kinda-sorta subscribe to that theory... in VERY small doses.
While rain would be better, glad to see you got some precipitation.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late to the party, so I suppose happy hour has passed. Hope it was a good one...
Brrrr. I think I'll take the wind we've been having the past few days over snow ANY day. Hope you kept warm, Buck.
ReplyDeleteBuckskins: We got a goodly amount of precip. There are still puddles in the road, as we type. A great good thing!
ReplyDeleteChristina: We did indeed stay warm, with a lil help from our Scottish friends, of course! ;-)
A little moisture never hurt anyone - except the cherry tree.
