55 seconds or so.
Heh. This could very well be my theme song.
Apropos of this post... I happen to be watching "Make 'Em Laugh" on PBS and the above ran not five minutes ago. Ya just gotta love YouTube. No ifs, ands, or buts. Love.

I love this song and the bit!
ReplyDeleteKinda sums up how I feel these days!
I took over the remote last night (no church due to ice storm)while Toby was watching Duke vs. Wake Forest. I switched to "Make 'Em Laugh." Toby, Jesse, and Reagan (who was here painting) all made fun of me and went back to basketball. I decided to read my book. Maybe I didn't need any smart-a.. lessons in this house anyways.
ReplyDeleteBuck, I would have thought you were more of a Captain Spaulding sort.
ReplyDelete40 years later the Ramones did the same thing

ReplyDelete{sigh} Me, too.

Dang. I hate to even think about the treatment I would have received, then. I'm not now, nor have I ever been, a bassetball fan. Gimmee Groucho and the like over b-ball... ALWAYS.
DC: Point taken. But I only wish I had Groucho's ability to throw off one liners, in any of his roles.
I just knew you'd be watching "Make 'em Laugh". I've been enjoying hell out of it. The only thing I wish is that each episode was twice as long and included more of each performer or team.
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I feel like this, too, Buck. Hmmm. Maybe more than just a few times. Hmmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteJim: I agree completely on the extreme brevity of all the segments in "Make 'Em Laugh." But... isn't that a show-biz axiom? "Leave 'em wanting more!"
ReplyDeleteCat: This feeling just MIGHT be a function of age. I know it's the case, in my case. ;-)
Youtube is the best thing ever. I can peel off the hours wading through that treasure trove.
