That’s what The WX Channel’s web site sez. The actual WX Channel on my teevee is a lil more pessimistic, however:
Why does that happen? I tend to believe my teevee, though. It's just brutal outside at the moment, and I won't begin to speak of the dust. Well, maybe I'll begin... the sky's color is pretty much a dull tan, which isn't like something you'd see in a Dust Bowl movie... i.e., totally obscured by black roiling clouds of dust... but it's MOST certainly a first-cousin of the same.
I don't miss that wind. Nosiree.
ReplyDeleteWe had a vicious wind yesterday, blowing all the construction dust around. It was atrocious. And now we're looking at up to four inches of SNOW tomorrow. In the Vegas valley, by God! I think I'll stay home and snuggle in with my pups.
ReplyDeleteAndy: It's fairly constant around here... but yesterday was pretty bad, even for P-Ville.
ReplyDeleteChristina: I would imagine Las Vegans (Veganites? Veganistas?) drive in snow like Mississippians, which is to say: BADLY. Staying home and snuggling with the pups sounds like a great idea... IF the snow comes to pass. You know how weathermen are... it's always the end of the world, or close to it.
Wow. I guess everybody has something hideous from time to time. We have blizzards, Cal has earthquakes, Florida has alligators, Arkansas had the Clintons...
