Another Addition...

… to the family. Grandma Alisa sent out photos of our newest arrival last evening. Granddaughter Anastasia gave birth to great-granddaughter Aria Mikala Morse (nine pounds eight ounces) on December 6th in San Diego. Mom and Baby are doing well and looking good at the same time. The first pic is of Mom and daughter, the second is the whole family, with Dad Alex. You may remember me posting a wedding picture in July of last year.

As for me… Let’s just say I’m feeling a lil bit older, yet again. There are more to come, as well. Granddaughter Number One on the SN1 side of the house is with child, too. How does this keep happening? And SO soon?

  2. Correction: Congrats to everyone EXCEPT the Red Wings. Good game, tough loss. Somehow I don't think it will slow them down much. Can anyone stop the Sharks?

Way off the baby topic: Do you hate the one point for an overtime loss as much as I do?

  3. Thanks, Andy.

On hockey: That might have been a good game for you, but it sure wasn't for ME. Ozzie doesn't seem to be able to find his groove of late, and that could be a problem come April/May. As a matter of fact, the vaunted Wings defense ain't lookin' so good lately. I gotta hand it to Raycroft, tho... he was great in net last night.

As for the one-point for an OT loss? I'm ambivalent. I can stay with it or watch it go... doesn't matter all that much to me.

  4. Well, congratulations GREAT GRANDPA!

On the hockey front, I heard on the radio today that San Jose has set a record for most point by a team at this point in a season, blah, blah. Andy's rant seems to have been lost on the reporters. They weren't handing out points for losses in the (ahem) good ol' days.

  5. Thanks, Jim.

re: Hockey. Your Bees are the class act of the East as far as hockey goes (at the moment). And yeah... there weren't any points for second-best in the old days. So perhaps I shouldn't be ambivalent about the point-for-an-OT-loss at all, seeing as how I'm a BIG fan of those same "good ole days."
