And Andy... I apologize, but your comments to yesterday's post are gone along with the offending post.)
An appropriate post for Veterans Day. Sent by SN1 this morning…more pics from the AOR. Captions as provided by SN1.
MSgt Gena Harris on the right is the base engine manager, me, TSgt Jocelyn StDenis is the wing scheduler, TSgt Timmy Waters is a C-130 analyst, SMSgt Clark Sato is my superintendent, and TSgt Roger Perry is my wing analyst.
We’re in front of the Army “Hunter.” Crazy little airplane…toylike…
Buck in front of an MQ-9 Reaper.
A bunch of MRAPs… About which SN1 sez: “We had a Veteran’s Day “Capabilities Display” over here…it was fun to walk around and see a couple of the interesting things the Army has going on…” Note the “photography restrictions” poster in front of the MRAP on the left. I couldn’t read the print in the large version of this photo, but the restrictions look pretty extensive!
And finally... this pic was taken by one of Buck's co-workers: Sunrise at Balad. Pretty nice, innit?
It worked today for us IE users, at least for me.
ReplyDeleteNo sweat, Buck. I find that most of my comments are best forgotten!
ReplyDeleteHelluva game 'tween the Wings and Pens last night! What a finish! 7-6 in OT, amazing. And a third period hat trick for Jordan Staal. Hockey at its finest. Bummer the Wings went down and all, but I don't see this loss hurting them any in the big picture.
Great stuff, Buck. Thx for putting it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michelle. I checked out the post using IE after I put it up... and it looked good to me. Thanks for the "external" validation!
ReplyDeleteAndy: I completely forgot the game was on Versus last night and it was over by the time I remembered. I watched all the goals on NHL.com, though... and was most impressed. Except for the outcome, of course! Ozzie had a terrible night, by the looks of things... and that 5-on-3 didn't help any, either.
I agree with ya... this loss doesn't mean much in the general scheme of things. And one point is better than none!
Morgan: Thank ya, Sir!
oh wow, imagine my surprise when I saw the photo of SN1 standing next to that MQ-9 Reaper. Tyler has a model plane that looks almost identical to it! When asked what it was I couldn't say as I'd never seen one before!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link Buck I'll be sure to share that with Tyler later on!
Thanks, Dawn. A clarification, though: Tyler's model could be a Predator... as the Reaper and Predator look identical... except for size. The Reaper is quite a bit larger.
ReplyDeleteBlogger is not my friend this morning. It is giving me all sorts of trouble.
ReplyDeleteI saw the pictures yesterday when I switched over to FF, but today IE is working fine. The photos are great. All looks well with SN1.
All looks well with SN1.
ReplyDeletePretty much, Lou. But he IS busy. We lost an F-16 due to fire on take-off yesterday (pilot escaped, but the aircraft was destroyed)... and SN1 is on the aircraft accident investigation team. Busy.
Yowzers!
ReplyDeleteVery cool pics, indeed!
ReplyDelete(as a side note - I have a friend who flies f-16's...but I'm pretty sure it wasn't his plane that caught on fire!!! Hope not!!)
I hope not, as well, Mezzo.
