Wow! Yesterday was quite the day for football, eh? I began the day by switching back and forth between Florida – Georgia and Notre Dame – Pitt… but settled in with the ND game after it became clear that Florida was going to bury Georgia… literally (which was sometime towards the end of the first quarter of the Florida game). The ND game was certainly exciting… going, as it did, to four overtimes. Only the outcome was disappointing, as Pitt managed to go one field goal better than ND… in
"I think the next 24 to 48 hours, you know, it's a trying time when you come off a disheartening loss," Weis said. "You got to bounce right back. Get treatment tomorrow, and Monday morning come in and watch the tape, move on to
Weis' concern is understandable. This is the second game Notre Dame has lost late after giving up a double-digit lead. The Irish led
Well… Weis ain’t the only coach to suffer a tough loss. I’m thinking Mack Brown can empathize… but only about being on the losing end of a GREAT game… in addition to wondering what the Hell happened to Texas in the first half last evening (like the rest of football fans in these United States). I don’t mention
I’m thinkin’ there are quite a few hangovers in

It will be most interesting to watch how Tech handles both
Sports sports sports :D. I am an Oklahoma Sate fan. I hope they beat OU this year!
ReplyDeleteI do believe the Texas vs. Tech game was one of the best games I've ever watched...Tennessee was losing its ass, so I watched that one instead. Glad I did...I ended up for Tech!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great game. I usually don't make it through an entire football game, but I watched every minute of the Texas/Tech game. I even commented to the people watching the last minute of the game with me that I couldn't believe that Texas was going to win and they told me that it wasn't over yet. And bah gawd it wasn't over.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the TT game and not just because I spent two years at TT. Na, I just love a humble t-sip.

ReplyDeleteOU - OK State should be a danged good game this year, methinks. But... as noted, I'll be more interested in the Cowboys when they play in Lubbock this coming Saturday...

I agree. MOST entertaining, that was!

I'll have to admit I was rooting for Texas, and when they took that one point lead I thought it might be over... Imagine my surprise! ;-)

I have to admit: I had to google t-sip. Aggies! ;-)
Will be tough for anybody to go undefeated, especially in the Big 12 or SEC.
ReplyDeletePenn State on the other hand, having beat the punchless Buckeyes, pretty much have a cup cake walk though the season.....Gawd Help us all if they make the NC Game, it could be worse than the last 2.
Ash...you are now not my friend until football season is over...or until the Sooners roll the Pokes up into a tiny ball...whichever comes first.
ReplyDeleteBOOMER!

ReplyDeleteAgree, totally. 'Bama has a good shot at it, as does Texas Tech... but TT has a real rough row to hoe...

Does that go for me too, Jay? Coz ya know I'm MUCH less than a Sooner fan. Bad experiences while living in OKC accounts for that... And, FWIW, I've seen friendships really blow up because of football. It happened to me recently -- I kid thee not.
