    I remember seeing him on TV many many years ago. He was funny then, and is just as funny today!

    I almost fell out of my chair when I first saw this (at Phlegmmy's). Then I ran to youtube to find more videos of him. He's awesome, definitely not afraid to poke fun at himself and the sport. I wonder what gave him the idea in the first place...?

    I have NO idea, but I can't help but think he wanted to take some of the air out of some pompous folks in the gymnastic community. And God knows there are quite a few of those... not just in gymnastics, but everywhere. Or maybe he just thought he could lighten things up a bit. Who knows?
