I’m 63 today… which should be reason enough to take the day off, eh?
Today is also the day my Social Security check is deposited into my bank account, marking the end of my first full year of Social Security payments.
Don’t worry, Gentle Reader… I’m still withdrawing the money I put into the system.
You won’t have to support me for at least another year or so.
Today’s Pic: Me, on my second birthday 61 years ago. Place unknown. That might seem a funny/strange thing to some, but we moved around a lot…given my father was in the USAF (actually: the Army Air Corps, given the pic was taken in March of 1947). This pic could have been taken in Atlanta, or Washington D.C., or God knows where, actually. Life is strange.
And all too short.
Happy Birthday Buck!
ReplyDeletehope that you have a great one!
It is strange and short, but you don't notice until you get older. Happy Birthday to you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I hope you have a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe picture is cute.
Happy birthday, Buck!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know, birthdays were much better when you were stranded in a high-chair and didn't have a clue what all the fuss was about; well except for maybe the great milestones like drivers licenses and legal drinking age. P.C. disclaimer - NOT that the last two categories mentioned were in any way related (this disclaimer has been approved by my lawyer).
Have a great one!
Happy Birthday!!! Cute lil bugger, weren't ya?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Buck!
ReplyDeleteCongrats & Happy B-day Buck!

I'll be 62 in May and today the wife and I applied for our SS...man, makes you feel so old.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to email sometime about the consequences of taking it early. I have a pension and an IRA...so I'm sure some taxes are in order for me!
Well, I forgot to say Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Buck. For what it's worth, you're still a cute lil' bugger. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Buck!

ReplyDeleteand yeah, 63 is just not looking that old to me anymore:)
I'm glad to share a few minutes of your special day and may God Bless you with many more!!!
WOW! You are old...lol! Since I turned 59 just last week, you were just getting ready to celebrate your 4th when I was hatched. And I bet you remember your 4th....actually I do, one of my, but not the first, memory.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY HIPPY BIRTHDAY BUCK!
Thanks all y'all for the kind wishes.
ReplyDeletePlans for the next 63?
ReplyDeleteMorgan sez: Plans for the next 63?
ReplyDeleteWorld domination. Takes a lot of planning, but I'm working on it. I also hope to get laid again before I die. Which also requires quite a bit of planning. Or luck. Or both. Whatev... ;-)
Happy belated Birthday, Buck!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having the time of your life.
Summer is almost here... you coming out EAST??
Sorry I missed this yesterday! Mom is here from Atlanta. But happy belated birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Buck!
ReplyDeleteMichele sez: Summer is almost here... you coming out EAST??
ReplyDeleteHonestly: no. This year will be the year of pretty much staying home. I've got some large expenditures pending, and corners must be cut somewhere. The travel budget is always the first to go, innit?
Mike and Jenny: Thank you!
