I think I just might go outside, sit my ol’ ass down in the gentle (?) breeze, and sample one of the house brands. And the sun is over the yardarm, albeit just barely, so I won’t feel guilty about pouring a suitable libation to go along…
It’s that kinda day. As is every day, come to think on it.
Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteAh, I see here the UPS guy brings total fulfillment. Over at my place you will read about the USPS bringing fulfillment. LOL!
ReplyDeleteJenny: I did!
ReplyDeleteLaurie: Would that it could be so easy...i.e., the USPS bringing fulfillment. That was funny, btw!! Lots of LOL'ing...
We bought some new patio furniture for Father's Day - I am looking forward to sitting outside in the evenings with a daquari. I think I will pass on the cigar - each to his own:)

ReplyDeleteIs that a girl-thing, Lou? ;-)
Sort of a funny story: a female acquaintance of mine smokes cigarettes and is trying to quit. We were talking on that one evening recently, and, after the discussion took its usual course, i.e., "how'd YOU quit," what helped, etc., I suggested she change to cigars vs. ciggies. She immediately rejected the idea. Yet I persisted and offered up one of my cigars for her to try. She took it, lit it, took a few puffs and was amazed: "Wow! This is really GOOD!," said she. Dunno if she'll quit the ciggies and move to cigars permanently, but I did manage to "broaden her horizons," so to speak.
I think an occasional cigar is interesting, but my father-in-law smoked cigars constantly and it was a pain in the butt (pun intended) - little burnt places in the furniture, his clothes, etc, not to mention the reek. My baby (Bo) smelled like a little cigar when we left the in-laws house. Maybe it was that my father-in-law was obnoxious on his own and I just associate cigars with him.
