Today’s Pic: Posting will be late today. I’m engrossed in Valerie Plame’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee, which is in progress as I type. And that’s the subject of “Today’s Pic.” Not Plame’s testimony, but rather: “Stupid Code Pink Tricks.” I don’t have sophisticated frame-grabbing video technology; this is just a quick grab-shot with my camera.
Note the woman in the background with the cleverly hand-lettered “Impeach Bush Now” tee shirt. This twit has been standing quietly in the range of the camera covering Plame for at least 15 minutes now. I’m surprised (a) the twit hasn’t been asked to leave or (b) C-SPAN doesn’t change camera angles.
Whatever.
(PS: Plame is a fox!)
The TV guys either agree with the woman and are leaving her there or disagree but better to not cause a scene that you know a person like that would cause should she be removed.
ReplyDeleteI've seen people like this "escorted to the door" before, and yeah, tossing them out does cause a minor scene. But, that said, the scene is over quickly and business as usual resumes very quickly. The disruption is over and forgotten almost immediately.
ReplyDeleteOTOH, shooting them (as I'd prefer be done) would be too distracting. Not lethal shooting, of course. Just a simple flesh wound. To make a point.
Why is it that aside from Valerie, the only other two people whose mouths are really visible look as if they are very angry, sad, and in general miserable?
