Haven't We Seen This Movie Before?

I certainly hope not. I’m not up for a replay of last Friday, thank you. I can deal with cold, rainy, and damp… but getting airborne in El Casa Móvil De Pennington just ain’t my kinda fun.

If you view the larger “closer to home” radar pic you can see Floyd, where Jenny lives. And note that sleet and snow ain’t too far away.

On a side note…I was watching the WX Channel last evening just before bedtime and noted they said we were victimized by 67 tornadoes across six states on Wednesday. I searched for an on-line article to quote but couldn’t find one. At any rate, as surprising as it may seem, 67 tornadoes isn’t the record for March outbreaks…last year was, with 70+ (76, if memory serves, which it often doesn’t).

  1. I couldn't believe when I woke up this morning that the wind chill was 29. Equally shocked when it started snowing. That's New Mexico Spring for you. I remember 2 years ago when it snowed Easter Sunday. The poor kids (about 20 of them) were shivering as they looked around my husband's uncles place for eggs.

Which is why last week when I switched out the kids clothes I still left a couple of winter things.

At least nothing severe is close by today.

  2. It has been pouring here all day. It rained all day yesterday, too. We are getting some severe weather, but nothing too scary.

Last year we had a pretty mild tornado season. It just got warm early and stayed that way. If my memory serves me...

  3. It's been the strangest weather day I've seen in a long time. The snow shocked me too, Jenny...

I've been keeping an eye on the unfolding situation in OK and points south, Lou. Looks like you're right on the west side of a warning box. Be safe!!
