... International BEER Day! Now if ever there was a holiday made just for ME...
You can get one of these tee shirts here.
Added: We're making the blog-rounds and were MOST pleased to see Blog-Bud Dan posted this appropriate lil ditty yesterday.
Heh.
Ooooh. I didn't know. I shall have to stock up on holiday-related treats.
ReplyDeleteCan you drink beer if you've got a cold?
ReplyDeleteOkay, I haven't had a beer in forever. Gimme a recommendation for just today.
Wha...whu...whuuu-huuut?!? I had no idea! Coincidence that I have the day off, or is it time to head back to church and be thankful?
ReplyDeleteJim: That sound like a plan!
ReplyDeleteL-Andy: I've skipped Happy Hour for the last two days for obvious reasons. While you prolly CAN drink beer with a cold I'm thinkin' it ain't such a good ideer when you're loaded up with decongestants. If you believe what they print on those warning labels, anyhoo.
Recommendation: Fat Tire. It's not available everywhere but I DO believe it's in Louisiana. Quick story: TSMP and I flew out to Denver to visit her brother sometime in the early '90s when Fat Tire (and ALL of New Belgium's beers) was only available in Colorado. He introduced me to Fat Tire and I brought a case of the stuff back with me when we flew back to Dee-troit. It was the best danged American beer I had EVER tasted at that point in my life and still rates pretty danged high.
S-Andy: I'm a firm believer in there's no such thing as coincidences. It was the Hand O' Fate, working in your favor this time. ;-)
I think you can drink beer with a cold - after all they call it cold beer. Though, whiskey does the job faster.
ReplyDeleteYep -- Fat Tire is in both LA and AR. Pretty good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI shall stock up on holiday party supplies, too! Pepper will be thrilled!
Love the shirt, love the song! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have a magnet on my fridge with the correct phrase:
ReplyDeleteSave the Earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.
FIFY.
Buck, I can get Labatt here in TN but I've asked a couple times for Fat Tire and so far haven't found it. Do you know if it's sold here? Is there a site I can check for this info?
ReplyDeleteDan: New Belgium has a beer finder. They show TN as being part of their territory, but their distribution may be limited to places like Memphis and Nashville.
ReplyDeleteLou: Likker IS quicker! ;-)
Moogie: Great! The holiday should be celebrated!
Mushy: Thanks, Man!
Kris: More like an "alternative" phrase. It's more than correct as used here.
In Heaven there is no beer,
ReplyDeleteThat's why we drink it here,
And when we're gone from here,
Our friends will be drinking all the beeeeer~
*shot*
What the heck -- occasional?
ReplyDeleteAgain, no respect, I get no respect around here (straightening tie).
You know I hang on your every word!
Silver: PERFECT! Just freakin' perfect! I'd forgotten that lil ditty...
ReplyDeleteKath: OK, noted. From now on you shall be addressed as "Constant Reader Kath." Does that work? ;-)
I celebrated Beer day with Corry... we had a few beers in a "English Pub" accross the street from her place.
ReplyDeleteGood day.
You're taunting me, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteMe? Never; just saying.
