Yeah... That's About Right

Courtesy of that Brighton Pensioner, a fun quiz.  My results:

As the post title notes: that's about right.  And we most certainly DO love us some raw fish.  We've been known to go to great lengths to get it, too.  Like this:

Ah, Former Happy Days Fish.

I haven't eaten an food raw since about 1978 when I went to survival school and everything raw for 12 days. I snared a rabbit on evening, but lost my stomach when I started chewing on its brain. ook, I just had to go make an ice cream run to get the memory out again. Mmm, yea, not even raw milk from the tit anymore, pasteurized please!

The pictures neat though, can you imagine most of us reading this have never been to nihon-koku.

    1. I'm pretty happy I never got the opportunity to be SEER'ed. It doesn't sound like much fun.

  3. I musta been the most boring food the writer could think of......but I didn't get a result since I'd never heard of any of the "what's your favorite song?" choices.

    Oh well.

    1. I hadn't heard any of 'em either... but weren't the Stones an option? Or was that another quiz?

  4. I'm cheese. Fits, I suppose. My kids always say I'm cheesy.

Yeah, Stones and Beatles were an option.

I realize this is not the "real thing" to your Japanese-experienced palate, but do you have a Super Target in Portales? They usually have those pre-prepared Sushi pkgs in the plastic covered trays. And some maj grocery chains do the same. Any Sushi bars in Portales, maybe around the ENMU campus? SURELY you've got something, no?

    1. The nearest Target to me is about a two hour drive in either Amarillo or Lubbock... so that's a non-starter. That said, there's a sushi bar/Thai restaurant over in The Big(ger) City that I've been known to patronize, but only rarely. One of my life rules is "don't eat sushi if you're over 100 miles from the coast, any coast."

    2. LOL, Buck. You're SO right. My saying used to be: "When you're in Kansas City don't order the seafood." :)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
