Steely Dan...
Like a gangsterGet outta here...
On the run
You will stagger homeward
To your precious one
I'm the one
Who must make everything right
Talk it out till daylight
I don't care anymore
Why you run around
Break away
Just when it
Seems so clear
That it's
Over now
Drink your big black cow
And get out of here
(And the colored girls sing: so outrageous... so outrageous)
I never understood that "drink your big black cow..." line. But maybe I don't really need to hear the explanation.......
ReplyDeleteCool tune!
ReplyDeleteI have a bottle of Mexican Kahlua at all times. You can't (shouldn't) eat ice cream without it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, two scoops of vanilla ice cream with a couple shots (tips of the bottle) of Kahlua poured over it is what I call a Black Cow.
I recommend anyone try it. It tastes yummy, and will put a smile on your face.
Moo...
Nice, easy listin'. I think I might like a black cow now.
ReplyDeleteLoves me some Steely Dan. They were cool way in the wayback and they stil are.
ReplyDeleteUber cool. Absolute udder genius.
Red: There's lotsa variations on the Black Cow recipe, I just mix Kahula and cream 2:1 in mine. It's pretty sweet, and pretty good. I drank two last evening after dinner.
ReplyDeletestopsign: Thank ya, Ma'am.
Lou: Those DID taste good last evening.
crème glacée: There's always a bottle of Kahula in my likker-locker, as well. I rarely pour it over ice cream, though.
Uber cool. Absolute udder genius.
Oh, Kris. ::eye roll:: :-)
I never thought about kahlua over ice cream until I dated a girl from spain. She invited me to meet her parents and for desert we had that.
ReplyDeleteFunny how you get started on things. I always order me at least one Harvey Wallbanger when I go out drinking. People around me all crack-up and can't believe I would actually drink that shit.
Ah well, totally off subject..
Kahula - that's a good one - har.
Funny how you get started on things.
ReplyDeleteCool story. I don't remember my first Black Cow, but I DO remember wandering all over Kyoto with The Second Mrs. Pennington over New Year's of '75-'76 with a bottle of Kahlua in my parka pocket and mixing up Black Cows right on the street with milk from vending machines...
