Today's Happy Hour Soundtrack

A wistful and rather melancholy guitar piece by Will Ackerman which is just perfect for comin' down off the road.

So here we are, back to bid'niz as usual... beer and cigars on the verandah in the late afternoon.   There's much to process concerning the last three weeks and a lot to think about.  But it's all good, I don't care what anyone else might say or think.

  1. Buck, that truly is a beautiful guitar piece. Don't think I've ever heard of Mr. Ackermann, but it was beautiful. He's got a fabulous first name. You can never go wrong with "Will."

My beloved Granddaddy, and my eldest son share that name...helluva couple of guys.

My friend, I can't barely wait for all the thinkin' and processin' to get did.

I am so looking forward to the results of all that. Hope the beer was powerful, and the ceegar didn't choke ya'...

It doesn't really matter what any of us think. It's what you think and how you allow it to impact you that matters. And it appears for all intense n purpose - this was a good one. I could see you gleeming with pride in those pictures!!! Welcome back Buck!

  3. Andy: Ackerman is famous for starting up Windham Hill Music, the archetypal "new age" label. He's pretty good for an accidental guitarist, no? And I dunno if you'll see the results of my considerin' and thinkin'... it's on a seriously personal level and of no great interest to anyone but me.

KC: SOME people's opinions matter. But yeah, this was a good trip. Thanks for the kind words.

  4. Ah...Will Ackerman. A fave of mine for sure. Somehow his work always touches a chord in me at the right moment.

Because the introspection about events such as you've been part of over the last 3 weeks deserves some quiet contemplation-type music to feed the soul and nurture the mind.

  5. Nice music. It's funny how we replay events in our mind once we have time to sit and relax. I'm glad you got to go and spend some time with your family. They will cherish those times, too.

  6. Kris and Lou: You're both spot-on. The re-playing and contemplating is almost as good as the experience itself.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
