Well, it's my ride for the next two or three days while The Green Hornet is in the shop getting her ass-end repainted.
That's an older Caddy CTS, exact vintage unknown. She has 73K on her clock and is tight and rattle-free. She doesn't have that famous Caddy Float-O-Matic ride in that you can actually feel the road, good steering feel, more than enough motor, and a kick-ass Bose stereo system. I think I'm gonna like this car based upon my initial experience with it. This is one rental I'll be sorry to see go.
Dang! That's about the sleekest loaner I've ever seen. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSah-weet ride Buck. It suits you.
ReplyDeleteIf I wasn't so in love with the Acura TL, I'd do a Caddy like that one.
Now that is a NICE car. Take your time getting that one back!
ReplyDeleteGood lookin' Caddy. I seem to remember your doing a post a while back about coveting one of those.
ReplyDeleteHmm, Toby bought me a pre-owned Caddy once. When I found a pair of senior citizen sunglasses in the glove box, I felt like a little old lady driving a big-assed car. I'd rather have the miata anyday.
ReplyDeleteSomeday? I do like that CTS. Class, comfort and a wicked fast and great handling automobile! Want.
ReplyDeleteToo bad they didn't have a Lincoln. Just sayin'...
ReplyDelete-:)
All (except Andy): It's a nice car, indeed. I'm not sure what level of trim/options this thing has but I'm finding new stuff on it with every ride. It's got a cool sunroof and the transmission has a "sport" mode that tightens up the shift points when you put your foot in it. That thing shifts VERY positively and quickly when you put your foot in it! I'm beginning to think I should just go ahead and buy one...
ReplyDeleteAndy: Friends don't let friends drive Fords. And have you SEEN the latest Lincolns? They look like frickin' Tonka toys. I'm serious. They're butt-ugly.
Whoops! You didn't agree, Lou. But I think you'd like THIS Caddy; it ain't one of the old boats. No, Ma'am... it certainly isn't.
ReplyDeleteAll (except Andy)...Heh!
ReplyDeleteNyuk! No sir, I have not seen the new Lincolns, or the new GMs for that matter.
I'm just a Ford guy. Always have been, always will be, unless they go commie and go beg the taxpayers to make up for their failures like other companies that shall remain nameless. ;)
...like other companies that shall remain nameless.
ReplyDeleteChrysler? ;-)
