... except for when I do.
Finally: truth in advertising. Did I ever mention the fact I HATE tats, the existence of which would be an immediate dis-qualifier in the "Be My Lady" sweepstakes? (We might make an exception for sumthin' small and discreet in this space. Wimmen over the age o' 50 who think they qualify and MIGHT like to apply for the open position o' consort are encouraged to do so.)

Really? I've always liked them. I'd totally doink a chick with ink all over.
ReplyDeleteIt's ALL a matter o' taste, innit?
DeleteIt's been 52 years since I was in the male-female sweepstakes, so my opinion is probably not worth much. But I'm with you on tats, Buck. Even the smallest ones turn me off.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure part of our distaste is generational. You simply didn't see women with tats when we were kids.
Delete"...you simply didn't see women with tats..."
ReplyDelete---or men, either--unless they were enlisted Sailors/Marines or ex-cons/current denizens of the State Pen.
And funnily enough, although enlisted Marines always to my memory wore them (growing up post WW II) Army enlisteds almost never did. The Navy must've infected the Marines, lol!
DeleteThere were very few tats in the USAF back in our day, as well. Not so much today... I know a frickin' Lt. Col. whose arms are covered with the damned things. Srsly.
DeleteYou'd be AMAZED at how many, *ahem*, women of a certain age have tattoos in various discreet places. I've become blase about 'em.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not all that amazed, seein' as how I went swimmin' in the dating pool for quite a while before I "retired" from the chase. A large part of my experiences were out on the Left Coast and I KNOW there's quite a bit of that stuff out there. But here? Not so much...
DeleteI despise tats. No really. The people who get them now, also watch every episode of the Home Shopping Network.
ReplyDeleteI once disrobed this very pretty woman, and on her lower back was a tattoo. She asks if I like it. I say, I like it just like I do reading the back of the box of Fruit Loops while feeding my hunger. So now I have something to read while...
In re: sumthin' to read... I thought that was what tramp stamps are FOR.
