The Concorde Supersonic Transport. The Supermarine Spitfire. The Official London Underground Map.
Give up?
They are the three finalists in The Great British Design Quest. You can vote, if you care to, here. The voting page also has links to other British design icons that didn't make it to the Final Three, such as the original Mini (both car and skirt), the once-ubiquitous British red phone box, and the E-Type Jaguar. There are a few surprises, too. I never knew "Grand Theft Auto" (the video game) had British roots, but it does, according to Auntie.
Oh, yeah... My vote was for the Tube map. The Underground map is truly a classic design, one that is imitated by subway systems all over the world, including Moscow, Tokyo, and Paris. Plus it's the only one of the three finalists that is still in "active service." Plus I have the tee shirt.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
