I'd sure like to see that show!

And I agree with you about the P-51, the guys that flew 'em, and the Me-262. I haven't been to Wright-Patt in way too long (last time: '90, or so)... so I'm thinking it's time for a road trip!

BR: We're here to serve, LOL! As a serious World War II buff, I'm going to have to track these babies down, in order to be viewed with the naked eye.

And ditto to what Rick said.Dave (aka Buckskins Rule)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07764864394651709866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18232353.post-64632540803965356182009-07-19T20:11:32.134-06:002009-07-19T20:11:32.134-06:00Thanks for the ME-262 link. You look at the P-51, which was in a class by itself, and say to yourself "What a fantastic aircraft". Then you walk a little more and see the 262 and say to yourself "OMG were we lucky". And I'm not trying to take away anything from the brave men and women who served and won. I'm just saying if things had gone a little different...which makes me all the more thankful for those brave men and women.

I happened to catch the story of the Horten on National Geographic not too long ago.
