Except for the blowout part, the rest of them look amazingly well preserved. Remember those old Toyota ads when a proud owner of a ten year old Toyota would kick up his heels and say he had 450,000 miles on his odometer and the car was still running strong? If LL Bean ran that kind of ad, you would definitely be a candidate. But, being flat-footed as I am, I found them so damn comfortable that I started wearing them everywhere. I'd go to Kroger, WalMart, the bank...running errands, etc. wearing them.

Pam bitched and moaned, because she had to be seen "out" with me wearing house shoes with dried paint, loose tie-ups, etc. She finally quit her bitching and learned to live with it.

I've had those babies for about 12 years. I call them "moccasins," which makes her just cringe & laugh at the same time. But what happened was this...last week it got time to start mowing grass here in NW LA. I looked all over this place for my "lawn mowin' shoes," and couldn't find them. I'm pretty sure Pam threw them away because she got tired of looking at them on the side porch (where I always keep them so I know where they are...which sucks, because she keeps her friggin' crocs out there, too. Do I bitch about it? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!).

What was I saying? Oh yeah, my lawn mowin' shoes have disappeared, so I just cut the grass wearing my "moccasins" (which she hates them, too). The damn things are stained green now, and splattered with paint, and God knows what else. So, I'm going to have to replace them. If memory serves, they were Twelve Dollars at The WalMart.

I hope they still sell the same brand. And, what with Obama's economy, I'm expecting that prices should be lower now. One can hope.

As to the furnace being turned off deal...us, too. Goodness gracious, it was a fabulous February! Actually had to run the AC a couple of days...didn't have to, just did to test her out, and knock the humidity down a couple of notches. Worked, too.

As to the top pitcher...NYUK! Reminds me of some snow boots I had in Colorado back in the day that the neighbor's dog got a hold of once.

NYUK!Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10945901944078164054noreply@blogger.com
