Didn't leave too much snow - lots of "mix" in there - but it has kept temps down and the sky very grey. This being New England however, by tomorrow temps should be in the upper 40s. And yes, I will throw open the windows if the sun is out.

It hasn't been a bad winter here, but it has been a long one.Kris, in New Englandhttp://www.noodlingonit.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18232353.post-34827321772886877572012-03-02T12:10:48.181-07:002012-03-02T12:10:48.181-07:00Lou: So you REALLY want me to go back to the old ...Lou: So you REALLY want me to go back to the old new-window comment box, is that what you're sayin'? ;-)

Dan: In re: "Flowers On the Wall"... My father bought a copy o' that tune along with some flowers and such when he and my stepmother were dating, right after they had their first minor blow-up. The family legend is that gesture was what led to the marriage. So... I remember that tune VERY well.

Darryl: I drank a bit o' Weinhards when I lived in Orygun... mostly at other people's houses. I was into cheap beer back then, if I was in to beer at all. I was mostly a whiskey kinda guy at that time... beer came after I went to England. What flavor o' keg will it be this time?

Virgil: That's not a BAD ideer, in and of itself, but I'd feel jes a LIL bit hypocritical, given my views on religion. But then again, isn't the ULC one o' those "anythang goes" sorta institutions?Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319116022465066060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18232353.post-64341181599432628182012-03-02T09:36:33.128-07:002012-03-02T09:36:33.128-07:00Speaking of "Wheels" Buck, and connected...Speaking of "Wheels" Buck, and connected to your previous post about your next-door Padre, you could be a "Big Wheel" in the Universal Life Church. IIRC it only costs (or used to) $50.00 to get a certificate declaring you an "Ordained Minister" in the ULC. LOL. Then all you would need to do is run for the local Justice of the Peace--it'd get you out of the house to pronounce at weddings, get you some free booze& food and/or at the very least $50 bucks/ session (the present going rate might be higher! Man, they had some decent regular stuff, especially the Ale and the so called "Private Reserve".

As they say here in the South, "I'm fixin' ta carry momma down to the store to get another keg." Is that a carrot cake I see over there by the empty glass?

And I confess, I like that song "Watchin' the Wheels." The premise and the "watching shadows on the wall" line reminded me of the old '60s Statler Bros. hit, "Countin' Flowers on the Wall" in which the narrator also says he's been "smokin' cigarettes and watchin' Captain Kangaroo." Boy, goin' back that far makes me think I've been smokin' somethin. But I ain't smoked anything.
