I didn't see my first hockey game until 1976, and that was several games of the World B Championships (old organization) that were played in Tokyo that year. And I didn't move to Detroit, the first city I ever lived in with a hockey team) until '85... so I'm a relative late-comer to the game...for my age.

But I sure do relate to your Dad, in that I yell at the teevee, too. So does SN1, btw... ;-)

Lou: I'm getting LOTS o' sleep, believe me... and thanks for the good advice. I also hope what you've read about hockey here has encouraged you...that's part of my reason for blogging about hockey: I'm proselytizing.

Thanks for the link, Jay. I remember this very vaguely and am surprised getting slashed with a skate doesn't happen more often than it does. But Thank God for that.

Jenny sez: And maybe when you are feeling better, we will have to visit longer. It was fun to finally meet one of my "imaginary friends".

Agreed!! It is a fun game to watch. I just wish I knew more about the players and teams, but it is difficult to get hockey on TV here in the South. I think the last year I watched them play (74? 75?) my father nearly had a heart attack yelling at the TV during the games. #4 Bobby Orr! He really was something to watch. Glad you're doing okay... puffy cheeks and all...Alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14429455198999868784noreply@blogger.com
