I see from the lid that young Major Buck has mastered the old trick of leaving a set of keys and his spare cover on his desk when goes out. People see that and always assume you are somewhere in the building/command area and not on a beach drinking mojitos or gin and tonic.HMS Defianthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10024721130102173694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18232353.post-12209553678282676172014-06-05T14:06:29.093-06:002014-06-05T14:06:29.093-06:00@ Final: Thanks for the good words and ya done go...@ Final: Thanks for the good words and ya done good with that shadow box you made. SN1 made one for me several years after I retired and it's always had a place of honor in my home, wherever or whatever the home was.

@ Tim: Thank ya, Sir. I share your feelings about "kids today." One of the main drivers in my decision to retire when I did was ALL the Loo-tenants looked like teenagers to me at that time. They still do, come to think on it. ;-)Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05319116022465066060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18232353.post-54854035988895880592014-06-05T13:22:53.048-06:002014-06-05T13:22:53.048-06:00Congrats to your son! He was ex-enlisted and made his way to LtCol before retirement. Having flown everything from Gliders, Fighters to Trash Haulers. It was a hell of a project, because I had to find Academy wings, and worst of all Sgt stripes. I searched everywhere and finally found a good looking one in a Las Vegas Army Surplus store. Damned Senior Airman rank! The commander wasn't expecting it, as I had secretly worked with his wife on the design, and when it was presented he was quite emotional, as his wife knew he would be. He was a rare boss, and I wouldn't have done it for anyone else (they tried). Good luck to your son, and may he make O-6 in his next job!The final day at the officenoreply@blogger.com
